2011 07 london summer

may: street food festival

A whole roast hog was one of the highlights of a summer of street food set up every weekend at the Royal Festival Hall. There were also pulled pork, churros, burgers, indian lassi, curry, crepes, cakes, beer, cocktails and many many more types of food and drink on offer. It all started with the real food festival at Olympia in may where I bought so much stuff I could hardly carry them all home.

june: hard rock calling

Never been a big concert goer, was glad I went on a grotty, rainy day to hard rock calling at hyde park to see james, kaiser chiefs and the killers.

july: sis and gis visit

Sis came with gis to the UK for her summer holiday. I went down for sis’ birthday and we went to chichester and stansted park that weekend.

Sis came back to london with me. She spent time meeting friends and we went out to dinner a few times.

Gis joined us in london and we saw dinosaurs, went to the m&m store and had teppanyaki.

A wet weekend I got a zipcar and we went to legoland.

july: book reading nottingham

I took the train for a day trip to nottingham to go to the bsb reading. Smaller in scale than gcls con, I caught up with a few friends and had a good day.

august: great british beer festival

Dragged my friend RM to the great british beer festival. Had 1/3 pint portions of a few real ales.

september: real food harvest festival

The summer ended as it started, with a street food festival.
